we basically finished 7 songs. we're going to have come back and put the finishing touches on them and record the remaining 2 we want to do for the album. that probably won't be till march given everyone's busy schedules, but that gives us time to fine tune the last two songs and play some shows in the meantime.

highlights for me personally:

watching hours of pete&pete while gabe records
-playing head soccer with peter and brandon (basically throwing a soccer ball up and -hitting it with our heads back and forth)
-dan CONSTANTLY being difficult
-shirtless brandon shotgunning beer
-gabe ordering hot chocolate
-joe's mustache

gabe is almost done with vocals. the first tmnt movie is pretty awesome

GUITARZ

Anton has finished his clean guitar parts and now we're fooling with his distortion sounds. We discovered that the click track has somehow managed to creep into the bass tracks so we may have to do some/all of them over. Dan is sad. But we ordered Chinese food so that cheered him up a bit.

Woke up at 8:30. No better way to spend the morning waiting for dan brandon and gabe to wake up by playing punchout.

we were up till about 1 am recording. nailed the last few songs in only a few takes. gonna finish dan's vox today and do all the guitars. i think i'll bully my way into recording guitars first becuase i'm cooler than gabe.

Just finished recording drums and bass parts. Pretty exhausted, but an amazing day in all! Dans doing some vocals right now, tomorrow we start laying down the guitars!

Thursday Night/Friday Morning

We arrived Thursday night lucky enough to enjoy a lowkey acoustic show at Big Mama's Warehouse (Joe's place). This place is amazing. It's a huge warehouse with a big indoor loading dock (where we parked our cars) and a huge open area. The recording studio and bedrooms all border the main open area. Lots of beautiful artwork and murals by the likes of Jeremy and other housemates. Right now Brandon is getting his drums set up and mic'd with Joe. We'll start tracking bass and drums as soon as they are done.

Er...Second Post!

So yeah...that didn't work out so well but HAVE NO FEAR! Monument is going up to Philadelphia the second weekend in November to start recording! STAY TUNED FOR UPDATES!
